County Officials Visit With Students at Scotland Neck Education and Recreation Center
Students at Scotland Neck Education and Recreation Center received a visit from Halifax County elected officials on Wednesday, July 30th. County Manager Tony Brown introduced Assistant County Manager, Dia Denton; Vice Chairman of Halifax County Commissioners, J. Rives Manning; and County Commissioners, Rachel Hux; Vernon Bryant; and Marcelle Smith. Manager Brown explained how they work for the people of Halifax County. He also commended Mrs. Moore for her work with the children. The staff and students of the center thanked the elected officials for taking time out of their busy schedule to come and share with them.
JustGive recently made a donation to the Scotland Neck Education and Recreation Foundation. The donation of $1,000 was made in the name of Donna Tisdale, descendant of Harriet Morgan of Morgan Moore Smith Families. The recreation foundation is grateful for the donation.
